Rodrigo Prudencio is a Partner with Nth Power. Rodrigo works with the portfolio companies and Limited Partners to lead strategic relationships that advance early adoption of energy technologies and services. The strategic relations program he leads is responsible for over $100 million of contracts and investments between Nth Power’s Limited Partners and portfolio companies. Mr Prudencio has lead Nth Power's investment in Synapsense and also sits on the board.
Rodrigo was recently named to the San Francisco Clean Technology Advisory Council. Before coming to Nth Power, Rodrigo worked for Utility.com where he led the raising of over $20 million in private investment and assisted senior executives in strategic planning, partnerships, and other business decisions.
Earlier in his career, Rodrigo worked for the Department of State where he focused on a variety of global environmental negotiations, including preparations for the Kyoto round of the Climate Change Convention. As part of the State Department’s climate change team, he coordinated interagency efforts and managed delegation communications with the White House and other key federal agencies.
Rodrigo was also Director of the international trade program at the National Wildlife Federation, the largest membership supported U.S. based conservation organization. Rodrigo led NWF’s environmental advocacy to reform the rules of international trade. Rodrigo managed all aspects of that program including foundation support, government relations, public advocacy and coalition building. Rodrigo was a founder of the Consumer’s Choice Council, and advocacy coalition focused on promoting eco-labeling initiatives.
Rodrigo received his MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley where he served as president of his class and concentrated on energy markets including outside research at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. His bachelor’s degree in international relations was earned from Middlebury College in Vermont.
